APPLICATIO was commissioned by sequa (www.sequa.de) to evaluate and possibly plan a second phase for a vocational training partnership in Kenya. The Chamber of Skilled Crafts Hanover cooperates with Kenyan educational and business institutions in rural Kenya within the framework of a vocational training partnership (BBP) with the support of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
The vocational training partnership aims to enable the Sauti Kuu Foundation as well as other vocational training institutions and representatives of the established economy to sustainably strengthen the existing vocational training offer for disadvantaged youth in Kisumu and Siaya County through practical vocational orientation and qualification in line with demand. The focus is on strengthening the capacity of the vocational training institutions involved, increasing the participation of the private sector, and offering a vocational orientation programme with subsequent qualification opportunities.
