APPLICATIO has been contracted by Deutschen Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH to develop a study on Success-Factors of Multi-Actor-Partnerships (MAP). The focus of the study is on factors leading to success or failure of such cooperation and cooperation of projects with such partnerships. The study is to develop best-practices and lessons learned for future projects and cooperation of GIZ.
Topic-wise, the focus of the study lays on the initiation, methodological approaches in setup and implementation as well as steering and governance of such partnerships as well as the role GIZ has or could have in such partnerships. Furthermore, the study will look into the implementation and practical work of MAP and the monitoring and evaluation of MAP as well as the legal and framework conditions. All results will be quantitative as well as qualitative and be based on interviews with multiple MAPs and MAP-partners.
