APPLICATIO was commissioned by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH to support the sector project "Social Security" and the global project "Innovation and Learning in Social Security". From 2020 to 2023 APPLICATIO - with the support of various moderators - will support the projects by moderating internal and external, virtual and face-to-face events and will prepare, moderate and follow-up these events
At present, GIZ is providing technical assistance in various countries in the establishment and development of social security systems and programmes. In Germany, the sector project "Social Security" commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) advises the BMZ on social security issues in development cooperation. Activities in international and national networks and at partner/country level are implemented in a targeted manner to advance the international positioning and ensure practical relevance. Cooperation and dialogue with partners inside and outside GIZ is a core component of its work. The global project "Innovation and Learning in Social Security" supports in two components the establishment and expansion of adaptable social security systems and programmes, as well as health and social security systems using the openIMIS software (open source).
