APPLICATIO was commissioned by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with the support of the Mongolian Tavan Bodg Group (Таван Богд Групп) and its import and logistics subsidiary Tavan Bodg International (tavanbogd-international.com) to provide digitally supported, company-wide learning (e-learning). The German-Mongolian team at APPLICATIO will be supporting the group's human resources department for around 18 months.
Tavan Bogd International LLC (‘TBI’) is a leading FMCG wholesaler for non-food and food products in Mongolia and part of the Tavan Bogd Group of Companies, which has diversified business interests in M&S, finance, food, tourism and other sectors. The availability of skilled labour has been identified as one of the biggest challenges to the functioning and growth of TBI and the group as a whole. The group therefore recognises the need to introduce robust and sustainable solutions in relation to the provision and development of skills. To this end, the EBRD will support the group in introducing a centralised learning management system (LMS) to be used to strengthen the capacities and improve the skills of both existing and new employees of its subsidiaries. The LMS will also serve as a tool for communicating and implementing better human resources practices and a better work culture across the entire group by introducing appropriate training modules.
As part of the assignment, APPLICATIO will advise the group on the use of e-learning, with a particular focus on women, and will, among other things:
- conduct a needs analysis
- develop and deploy a learning management system
- develop and test courses for various internal target groups
- develop a company-wide learning strategy
- train in-house experts in course administration and creation.
