APPLICATIO was commissioned by the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Deutscher Industrie- und Handelskammertag, DIHK) with the planning and implementation of a fine planning workshop for a chamber and association partnership project in the Western Balkans. The workshop will bring together all participating chambers of the region to jointly develop an operational plan for three project years and set up a monitoring system.
The project between the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and the chambers of commerce from Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Serbia started on 1 September 2019. The aim of the project is to support the chambers of the Western Balkans in promoting the implementation of the "Regional Economic Area" initiative and to contribute to the improvement of the national framework conditions, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, digitisation and mobility. The project activities focus on strengthening the organisational capacities of chambers in the Western Balkans, improving networking with the Chamber Investment Forum (CIF), strengthening the chambers' lobbying work and developing services for SMEs.
