APPLICATIO was commissioned by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to support the development of capacity development strategies for the global project "Transformation of Food Systems (GV TES)" and will now develop an overarching strategy and sub-strategies for Zambia, Malawi, India and two network partnerships.
The 2021 UN Food Systems Summit (UN FSS) has called for joint action against hunger and all other forms of malnutrition. 117 countries submitted so-called national pathways to further develop or transform food systems in a resilient, climate-friendly and sustainable way. This resulted in high demands and expectations from the partner countries in terms of support for implementation.
This is where the new Global Programme "Transformation of Food Systems" (GV TES) comes in with support for corresponding transformative initiatives (TI). The project strengthens selected local, national, regional and global transformative initiatives in order to work effectively towards the transformation of food systems.
