e-Learning "Data use in the Policy-making Process"

AFlag_of_Moldova.pngPPLICATIO was commissioned by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (funded by BMZ) to develop and pilot an e-learning course on "Data Use in the Policy-Making Process" for Moldova. The course will focus on the 2030 Agenda and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) The course will be used as part of the project "Supporting the Moldovan Government in the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda". 

 In September 2015, the Republic of Moldova, together with 192 other United Nations Member States, committed to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In the following years, the Government of the Republic of Moldova initiated the process of elaborating the new national development strategy "Moldova 2030", which is currently being adopted by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. In 2020, the Republic of Moldova submitted its first voluntary national review to the United Nations High-Level Political Forum.

In this context, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is managing the project "Supporting the Moldovan Government in Implementing the 2030 Agenda" on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The aim is to improve capacities and processes for implementing the 2030 Agenda. The project works closely with its main political partner, the State Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova, and other actors relevant to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

APPLICATIO will, in support of the efforts:

  • develop a strategy for an e-learning course on the use of data in policy making
  • design and technically implement the course
  • pilot the course with up to 150 participants
