Expert: Investment Readiness

Position: Short-term Expert

We are looking for additional expertsto strengthen and expand our existing pool of experts on investment readiness and transaction advisory, supporting firms in preparing for, engaging in and executing financing opportunities.

Objectives and tasks:

The delivery of these services is expected to support SMEs in achieving investment readiness and to culminate in successful financing or investment outcomes.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity/venture capital, transaction advisory or corporate finance. 
• Track record: Demonstrated experience supporting companies, including SMEs, in achieving investment readiness, successfully raising capital and closing transactions.
• Core skills: Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities, Ability to develop compelling investment narratives and investor communication materials, Experience in transaction structuring and negotiation, Capability to provide strategic and operational advisory, Experience advising on impact-oriented projects and/or structuring and executing transactions with sustainability-linked or climate-aligned financing components.
• Sector expertise: Relevant sector experience and expertise is required, with preference given to experts who have advised companies (including SMEs) across sectors such as technology/AI, green technologies and e-mobility, manufacturing and services (including pharmaceuticals), and agribusiness (across the full value chain, including retail).
• Market experience: Proven on-the-ground presence and direct experience operating in one or more of the Target Countries.
