APPLICATIO has been contracted by the Civil Peace Service (ZFD) of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH with developing a study on the future of the Peace Service in parts of the Philippines. Before the background of the critical security situation in parts of the Philippines the ZFD (Ziviler Friedensdienst/Civil Peach Service)  will have to withdraw five staff members from specific regions. It is, however, planned to continue the started initiatives with partners and make use of a remote-management approach and local experts in order to achieve the planned objectives (photo: Wikipedia)

Despite the security situation it is planned to achieve the anticipated goals of the programme and to continue activities on a comparable level. In order to achieve this, regional and logistical as well as strategical adaptations of the approach are required. In addition, the study is to analyse whether the country strategy of the German Ministry is to be adapted accordingly. Finally, the study is to develop new approaches on achieving impact in the regions incl. concepts how such strategies could be financed.
